Alibek Zhamauov, Vice-Minister of Energy of RK, got acquainted with the progress of a large-scale project at the Shymkent Refinery.

On April 1, 2025 Alibek Zhamauov, Vice-Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a working visit to the oil refinery “PKOP” LLP. During the visit, Alibek Zhamauov got acquainted with the current activities of the enterprise, including production processes. He also toured the key facilities of the refinery, visiting in particular the Catalytic Cracking Complex, Control Room of Workshop No. 3. Special attention was paid to the implementation of a large-scale project to increase the production capacity of the Shymkent Refinery from 6 to 12 million tons of refined oil per annum. This project is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the refinery and development of the energy sector of the country. PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP continues making a significant contribution to the economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and progress in oil refining.
At the end of the visit, Alibek Zhamauov, Vice-Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of a timely and proper implementation of the project to increase the capacity of the refinery. He emphasized the need to comply with modern technological and environmental standards, as well as further improving the efficiency of production processes. Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue monitoring the progress of the project and provide the necessary assistance.
