АО PKKR MAKES THE TOP THREE IN THE RANKING OF OIL AND GAS COMPANIES’ ECOLOGICAL RESPONSIBILITY.
On behalf of the Company management congratulating personnel of “Petro Kazakhstan Resources” JSC with an honorable award – III rd place as per ecological responsibility among oil and gas companies!
On February 22, 2018 in Astana, at the House of Ministries, was conducted presentation of the results of the First annual rating on ecological responsibility among oil and gas companies of Kazakhstan, which is arranged by World Wild life Fund (WWF) from Russia and by “KREON” Group in partnership with UN Program on environment protection in the Central Asia (UNEP-CA) and with support of the Energy Ministry of the RoK.
Kazakhstan for the first time taking part in the rating where participated 16 oil and gas companies – leaders on producing oil and natural gas. Companies – participants of the first rating became “KazMunaiGas” JSC, “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V”, “PKKR” JSC, “Mangystaumunaigas” JSC, “Ozenmunaigas” JSC, “CNPC-Aktobemunaigas” JSC, “Kazgermunai” LLP, “Embamunaigas” JSC, “Karazhambasmunai” JSC, “Buzachi Operating Ltd”, “South oil” LLP, “Turgai Petroleum” JSC, “Kazakhoil-Aktobe” LLP, Zhaikmunai” LLP, “Maersk oil Kazakhstan GmbH”.
Main players have been compared in the following criterions: ecological management which is impacting to the environment and opening information / transparency.
Rating of 2017 was headed by “KazMunaiGas” JSC, on the second place – “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V”, on the third one – “PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources” JSC (PetroKazakhstan Inc. producing division).
Nowadays, starting the rating of the ecological responsibility of the oil and gas companies of Kazakhstan is playing an important role, as it will assist in improving the quality of management of ecological risks during production, transportation and processing hydrocarbon products, also in reduction of the negative impacts to the environment. Except direct environmental effect, rating will become a considerable motivation for improving openness of the company and development of mutual relation with all the concerned parties
