In the framework celebration of Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Year of Culture in Almaty, PetroKazakhstan jointly with Almaty city Medeu District Akimat and the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan presents an art exhibition ” The Sun-blessed Land” by acknowledged artists of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The exhibition will include a certain slice of fine arts of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan – works of artists of realism, created in the 60-80 years of the twentieth century, during the existence of a single unified state.
The main objective of the exhibition is to introduce residents and guests of Almaty to the masterpieces of XX century fine art from private collections, created by true masters, honored artists of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
Famous painters of 60-70s of the last century – Zh. Shardenov, K. Shayakhmetov, A. Cherkassky, N. Nurmukhamedov, M. Kenbayev, A. Ismailov, B. Tabiyev and many others are the generation of artists, who became the milestone in the history of Kazakh fine arts. Creative works displayed at the exposition constituted a solid foundation for the formation of modern Kazakh art. They have fulfilled their vision of the world and the epoch in painting, created vigorous canvases, which reflect important stages of national history and spiritual traditions of national culture.
Fine art of Central Asia will be represented by works of People’s artists of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, such as A. Perov, K. Kerimbekov, A. Osmonov.
For the first time in Almaty, visitors will have a unique chance to see classic examples of social realism, presented as all-in-one piece and giving a fresh look at the powerful imagery of the canvases, which still continue to amaze experts and connoisseurs of fine art.
The exhibition will display 70 paintings.
The exhibition will be held from December 6, 2012 to January 8, 2013 at the Central State Museum of Kazakhstan, Almaty city, Samal-1, 44.
