From March 31 to April 6 of this year Kyzylorda was home to a traditional schoolchildren basketball tournament.
For 16 years already the basketball teenagers competitions for Cup and prizes of PetroKazakhstan AO have been held. All in all the Kyzylorda sports complex hosted 14 teams: 7 schoolboy and 7 schoolgirl’s from the cities of Khromtau, Taldykorgan, Tekeli, Baikonur, Kyzylorda and Shiylisky, Karmakshinski and Janakorgan regions.
The chief goal of this sports event was to attract the schoolchildren to systematic activities in physical culture and sports, organization of leisure and encouraging a healthy lifestyle, prevention and premonition of violations, alcoholism and addition among the kids and youth.
At the official basketball tournament winners award ceremony participated the head of tourism, physical culture and sports management of Kyzylorda oblast S. Mustafaev and vice-president of PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources AO Chen Dayou.
By the results of finals the leader among boy teams was school #2 for gifted children “Murager”, second place went to Taldykorgan city of Almaty oblast, third place to the team from Shiylisky region.
Among girls the best was the aggregate team of Kyzylorda, second and third places went to the teams of Tekeli of the Almaty oblast and Janakorgan region respectively.
Best players were named Malik Altaev (Taldyrkorgan), Galym Sharipov (Kyzylorda), Galiya Janaeva (Kyzylorda) and Didar Jenisbek (Tekeli).
Best coaches in training the teenagers were O. Kim (#2 school team for gifted children “Murager”), A. Ayazbaev (team of Taldykorgan Almaty oblast), A. Kogai (team of Shiylisky region), K. Koblandy (team of Tekeli Almaty oblast) and K. Aidarov (team of Janakorgan region). Among the judges best were N.Daukenov, B.Batyrbekov, А.Javzmagin and D.Musaeva.
Handing over the Cups and material presents to the winners and nominees of the tournament, vice-president of PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources AO Chen Dayou congratulated the winners on the results achieved, thanked the teams and their mentors from other cities for demonstrated interest in the basketball tournament and wished all the students successes in studies.
