Grand opening of the Tekesu Canal Bridge, an important infrastructure facility built in response to an emergency in the spring of 2024 was held on June 24, 2025. At that time, heavy rains and the limited capacity of the previous structure led to a rise of the water level in the canal, causing flooding of the highway and residential houses.

The project was implemented with the financial support of PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP, which provided assistance as part of its social responsibility strategy. The construction of the bridge is aimed at ensuring the safety of local residents and preventing similar emergencies in the future.
