Over 100 participants shall demonstrate their talents and performance skills. Contest’s main task is to establish friendship between talented kids and their choreography teachers from different countries.
All judges of the 2nd Orleu contest have gathered today in the Almaty Choreography School named after Seleznyov. The contest is being held once in two years. The first one has taken place in 2008, and as back then, PetroKazakhstan was one of the contest sponsors.
Despite the fact that the contest is relatively young, it is developing fast. Preliminary rounds will be held on 5 – 8 April. The judges will have a lot of work: over 100 talented youths will show their mastery in classical and traditional dances.
For this time, composition of judges’ panel was extended, consisting of renowned teachers and performers from Austria, Germany, Japan, Korea, Turkey and neighboring countries.
The award ceremony and the gala will take place on 9 April in the State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai. Ballet connoisseurs will see a number of promising debuts and new names.
