“PETROKAZAKHSTAN KUMKOL RESOURCES” JSC RECOGNIZED AS THE “BEST ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR” AT THE III REGIONAL FORUM OF CHARITY PROVIDERS AND ARTS PATRONS
The III regional forum of charity providers and arts patrons was held on November 27, 2019 with the participation of the Oblast Akim, Kuanyshbek Iskakov. The forum is held in order to support business leaders, charity providers and arts patrons in the region, to give a fresh impetus to the development of charity by forming its positive aspect and to facilitate the unification of all organizations and citizens involved in charity.
Akim of the Oblast Kuanyshbek Iskakov delivered welcoming remarks to the forum participants: “Kazakhstan began spiritual modernization in the third decade of Independence, thereby opening the way to large-scale modernization of public consciousness. Of special note is one of the important projects implemented on the basis of “Rukhani Zhangyru” – “Tugan Zher”. Regarding this program, Elbasy noted that every citizen should make a contribution and called on representatives of business, clerisy to help their native land, country and mobilize efforts to support fellow villagers. A particular respect for the native land is to make a strong contribution to the development of the country. For example, since the beginning of this year, 686 charity events have been organized in the region with the support of arts patrons, as a result of which 40520 needy people have been assisted in the total amount of 514.7 million tenge” said Akim of the Oblast.
Mr. Zhao Xiaoming, Chairman of Board of “PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources” JSC spoke about the social and corporate responsibility of the company: “The Company “PetroKazakhstan” as an enterprise with corporate and social responsibility has always put an emphasis on the fulfillment of its social obligations, participation in social events in the regions where the company operates. Support for major significant projects that can change people’s lives for the better, participation in charity is an integral part of the company’s activities. This is confirmed by a number of projects implemented with the support of PetroKazakhstan in the Kyzylorda oblast: the maintenance of a rehabilitation center for disabled children in the Kazaly district, a kindergarten for children from low-income families in the Zhanakorgan district. 1000 children annual relax in the “Arai Sunrise” children’s camp with financial support of the Company. The award received today is a high assessment of the activities of PetroKazakhstan, its contribution to the sustainable social development of society. Work on the implementation of projects aimed at strengthening social security of the population, supporting noble initiatives will continue.“
Further the award ceremony was held for 16 socially responsible organizations, who are actively involved in charity work and are an example for the younger generation. The management of the company “PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources” JSC was awarded the nomination “Zhyl Uyimy”.
