Yesterday, in the framework of corporate social responsibility the South Kazakhstan Oblast officials met local business representatives. Mr. A. Myrzakhmetov, Oblast Akim, had a lively discussion with Mr. Wei Yuxiang, PetroKazakhstan Oil Products President and Mr. Assylbek Karibayev, Company Vice President. During the meeting social projects planned for implementation in the Corporate Social Responsibility framework, were discussed. Last year, this company signed a memorandum on allocation and transfer of KZT 150M for CSR activities. As a result, a capital overhaul of “Veterans’ House” social and medical center, and medical equipment purchase. This year the company again allocates KZT 150M. The funds will be used to solve social issues of Zhuldyz village of Sairam District, capital overhaul of Kapal Batyr Street, and other projects. After the meeting, Mr. Wei Yuxiang took part in a press briefing. Questions on PetroKazakhstan Oil Products plans, refinery modernization, and improvement of product quality were asked. The journalists have shown their interest in the volumes and price of the diesel fuel manufactured at the refinery, capacities of the refinery, high-octane gasoline manufacturing issues, and the President together with the Vice President responded to their questions.
