PetroKazakhstan team- “ARYS, BIZ BIRGEMIZ!”:
The accident in Arys has united all the people of Kazakhstan. Under the auspices of Arys, Biz Birgemiz, the companies, state employees and all other people of Kazakhstan volunteered to donate a one-day salary and sent humanitarian aid.
The tragedy that took place in Arys, did not leave indifferent the employees of all divisions of PetroKazakhstan. Nurzhan Baizhigitov, Leading Specialist, Field Support, appealed to the management of JSC PKKR with an initiative to donate a one-day salary of employees in support of the Arys victims.
As a result, 2,167,000 tenge was collected. On July 19, initiative group of the company left for the place of the tragedy in Arys. The city is roughly divided into 17 sectors, and each sector is assigned to a region. Sector No. 6 assigned to Kyzylorda oblast has 283 houses with a total number of 1,546 people. Having discussed the problems with persons in charge, it was decided to provide assistance within the framework of the republican action “Mektepke Zhol” (Road to school)
On August 15, the initiative group headed by Nurzhan Baizhigitov, which included Aktolkyn Sultangereyeva, Andrey Taigunov, Alfiya Shakirova, Madina Aushen, Almas Zhanbekeyev, Yerbol Askar and Azat Dosmaganbetov, left for Arys to hand over school uniforms to children. The campaign covered 119 families with 165 primary school children living in them.
In the yard of the local mosque, representatives of the city’s education department, a branch of the Nur Otan party, organized an event called “Mektepke Zhol”. Nurzhan Baizhigitov expressed his support to the residents of Arys: “This tragedy has shown humanity, solidarity, readiness of the people of Kazakhstan to come to the rescue of each other in difficult moments. Employees of JSC “PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources”, along with thousands of people of Kazakhstan have empathized with you. Today, on behalf of our team, we would like to wish happiness, wellbeing, and prosperity to every home, every family. May your children bring only joy and delight in their success.
An initiative group of PetroKazakhstan handed over school uniforms to the children. The children’s eyes glowed with joy, and the parents of the students thanked for the help they received.
Employees of PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP took an active part in the campaign “ARYS, BIZ BIRGEMIZ”. Since the centre of deployment was located in Shymkent, none of the PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP employees were left behind. Starting from the senior management of the plant to specialists, as well as the trade union organization of the company, they helped the Arys victims. Employees of PKOP LLP and the Almaty branch of PKOSI donated personal funds as much as they could. The money raised was used to purchase basic necessities for the affected residents ( food, personal hygiene products, bedding, clothes, etc.) In order to transport the affected residents of Arys from Saryagash to Shymkent, Chairman of the Board of Young Specialists of NC KazMunayGas JSC and PKOP LLP Sadibek Lesbek in just two hours mobilized a team, which, with support of the company’s management, organized everything. 60 people were transported to Shymkent and accommodated in the school building, they were provided with food and other vital necessities.
