Based on the public voting results the regional competition “Choice of the Year 2009” was finalized in the city of Shymkent in the “Golden Leaders” nomination.

The competition was founded by Malika Ergeshkyzy, a holder of a director-producer degree. The first competition “Choice of the Year” was held in 2007 in Taraz. From the beginning of this year the competition is being held in Shymkent and Kyzylorda. A public opinion poll was conducted within its framework and nominees were identified in several categories. Based on the public opinion poll results the representatives of the Oblast Akimat, Departments of Industry, Education and Health identified the winners in the nominations “Golden Leaders”, “Silver Leaders” and “Bronze Leaders” within the “Choice of the Year” competition.

The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the independent competition with honorary diplomas was held on the 25th of July, 2009 in the Shanin’s Oblast Drama Theater in Shymkent. The ceremony was attended by representatives of industries, businesses, education, culture, sports, mass media and services sector. The honorary award of “Golden Leaders” went to the distinguished residents of the oblast: a famous gymnast Aliya Yusupova – for her contribution to the sports development; a large SKO businessman Kairat Saparbayev – for the best service provided by the Clara Sapar complex; the institute director G. Saparbayeva – for educational services provided by the private institute named after M. Saparbayev; president V.K. Kulikova – for the best entertainment services provided by her TV channel Otrar; and PetroKazakhstan Oil Products TOO – for its high professionalism and as a recognition of the performance of this leading enterprise.

The award received in the course of an independent competition means a public recognition and the fact that our company is the leader in its field.
