The prestigious award in the field of safety and labor.
Svetlana Turemanova, Team Leader, Safety and Labor Protection Group of “PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources” JSC, became one of the best safety engineers in the republic following the results of the “Senim–2022”competition.
On May 26, 2022, the winners of the competition on safety and labor protection among employers of the republic “Senim-2022” were awarded at the 10th anniversary Kazakhstan International Conference and Exhibition KIOSH-2022 in Nur–Sultan. The competition was held in three categories: “The best labor protection unit”, “The best labor protection engineer”, “The best safety technical inspector”. The “Senim–2022” contest received more than 50 applications from participants-companies from 14 regions of Kazakhstan.
Svetlana Kuanyshevna received a diploma for the honorary second place in the nomination “The best labor protection engineer” and a statuette of the “SENIM” competition on safety and labor protection among Kazakhstani companies.
This is the only competition in the country for safety professionals. Participation in it alone is a confirmation of the employee’s competence in safety and labor protection. In order to receive recognition of such a high level, applicants had to complete a number of tasks: to tell how the work is arranged, to write an article, as well as an essay.
-I have been working in the company for twenty years – since 2002, – notes Svetlana Turemanova. – One of the priorities of the HSE Policy of PetroKazakhstan is health protection, ensuring the safety of workers and protecting the environment.
To achieve the goal, first of all, it was necessary to improve the safety culture at work, change the attitude of employees to HSE issues. As you know, in Y2014, by decision of CNPC shareholders, with the assistance of “Dupont” consultants and the support of senior management, the “Korgau” project was implemented in the Company to improve the HSE management system and increase the safety culture at work.
As part of this project, many issues related to ensuring safety and labor protection in the workplace, including social issues, were resolved. The project made it possible to involve all employees of the company in the process of improving the HSE management system, increase the responsibility of line managers in the field of safety and labor protection, and effectively manage the risks. I like my job, it gives me great pleasure to see the results of my work and be happy that I did not make the mistake in choosing my profession. And I am also very grateful to my colleagues with whom I have been working all these years.
Svetlana admits that the victory in the competition is primarily the achievement of her colleagues – management of the HSE Department of PKKR JSC represented by Yevgeny Maratovich Mazhitov and the Corporate HSE Department of PetroKazakhstan, Anna Grunis. The active support of colleagues, their participation in the preparation for the competition helped Svetlana Turemanova to worthy award!
