FACILITY FIRE AND GAS RESCUE DEPARTMENT
During 2022-2023, in order to optimize costs, the Fire Safety Department was reorganized into the Facility Fire and Gas Rescue Service (hereinafter referred to as the OPGSS), which assumed additional functions for conducting gas rescue and emergency rescue operations.
On January 8, 2024, the Service received the “Certificate for the Right to Conduct Industrial Safety Emergency Rescue Operations” (Gas Rescue Operations) No. KZ19VSD00000077, issued by the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A training complex has been established at the base of the Service, registered in the Ulytau District of the Ulytau Region. The Service’s employees have completed all necessary trainings and preparation for gas rescue operations.
The main tasks of the Service are:
Conducting emergency rescue and gas rescue operations, ensuring fire safety at the Company’s facilities, as well as performing work and providing services to third-party organizations on a contractual basis.
Monitoring compliance with gas and fire safety regulations, rules, and standards, as well as implementing measures to localize and eliminate accidents, extinguish fires, and perform priority emergency rescue operations.
Conducting gas rescue operations in the presence of toxic, flammable, and explosive substances in the environment using insulating personal protective equipment.
Providing first aid to injured using resuscitation equipment (devices that partially automate artificial respiration, mechanical resuscitation devices).
Evacuating injured and material assets from the emergency area.
Eliminating (containment) spills of oil, petroleum products, chemicals, and other environmentally hazardous substances on Company premises.
Conducting emergency rescue operations related to extinguishing fires, including those complicated by the potential release of chemically hazardous substances into the atmosphere.
In 2025, the Facility Fire and Gas Rescue Service of «PKKR» JSC was awarded with a letter of thanks from the Department of Emergency Situations in the Kyzylorda region as the best non-state fire service in the region.
